Bo Bangles was picked from several hundred applicants to be a shortlisted finalist in the Startups awards 2004 and has been awarded a Special Merit award as a finalist for the East London& Essex Business Awards.After and being chosen by Kate O’Riordan of Time Out for the Best of Valentines, and having her signature heart shaped jewellery featured on GMTV, Jewellery designer and maker Bo, launched her Bridal website www.bobanglesbrides.co.uk
The unique handcrafted twisted sterling silver wire hearts entwined with semi-precious stones and crystals
led to a wedding commission for presenter Claire Nasir’s wedding, and for Kate Garraways bridesmaids both made the cover of OK Magazine. Hannah Gillette winner of GMTV interactive wedding commissioned Bo to make a heart for her special day televised in South Africa.
The idea came when her Father died and she wanted to create something everlasting and in his memory (as he had a heart condition).
Her heart shape signature symbolises passion, serenity ……love
Couture Beading… Lesley Coidan has decades of experience in design and beading.
She has worked many of the Royal costumes, In addition she has a legacy of commissions for film some of these credits include ‘Evil under the Sun’ , ‘Death on the Nile’ , Bond films , Super girl’, Spam lot , Sister Act, and more recently Nine; staring Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson and Marion Cotillard. There was plenty of work from LE (Light Entertainment) in the BBC.
Beading Muhammad Ali’s dressing gown which he wore for the fight ‘Rumble in the Jungle ‘was one of the most amazing request
for 16 years she ran ‘Spangles’, a couture beading company in off Carnaby Street in London. It was a very exciting period for women and fashion, and she worked for the top designers of the day, among them Bill Gibb, Hartnell, Bruce Oldfield, Jacques Azagury, worn by Princess Diana, Belleville Sassoon, a favourite with Madonna and Jasper Conran OBE. Also commissioned by Elizabeth Emmanuel to embroider Elizabeth Taylor’s last wedding dress.
